Bachelor of Design

The Bachelor of Design is a three-year undergraduate degree designed for students who want to develop creative, technical, and professional skills for the design and creative industries. The course combines design theory with practical studio-based learning, enabling students to explore ideas, experiment with different media, and create solutions for real-world audiences and challenges.

Students begin with foundational subjects such as Elements of Design, Fundamentals of Photography, Art, Design and Digital Culture, Design Methods, Drawing Practice, and Introduction to Games Programming. They then choose majors and minors that align with their interests, allowing them to develop expertise in areas such as interactive media, game design, visual communication, digital culture, screen media, social media, and photography.

The degree also includes creative engagement and opportunities for work-integrated learning through an industry project or placement. Students develop a portfolio of creative work while building communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills relevant to professional design practice.
